Stuck in research while seasons slip by and your land still isn’t producing like it could?
Free 4-Session Syntropic Workshop: Learn To Read Your Land And Start Your First Productive Food System
For small land-owners with a few acres who are Syntropic-curious and tired of just researching. In four live sessions, you’ll learn to read your land, design a simple first consortia, and finally start moving toward a system that gets more productive over time instead of degrading.
- Learn how to read your land and work with it, so you stop guessing what to plant where
- Understand water, nutrient cycles, and microclimate on your site, so you can avoid costly mistakes and wasted effort
- Identify local pioneer species that want to grow for you, so you can build momentum fast instead of fighting the land
- Turn scattered ideas into a simple first Syntropic consortia plan, so you know exactly what to do in the next 30–90 days
- Get out of endless research and into real action on your own property
Approx. time commitment: 4 × 90‑minute live sessions over 2 weeks + 1–2 hours of homework between sessions.

Is This You Right Now?
You’ve watched Syntropic videos and read articles, but your land still looks mostly the same.
You keep telling yourself you’ll “start properly next season”… and another season passes.
You’ve tried something already, but it was too sparse, too big, or too complex to maintain.
You’re worried that one wrong move could waste a whole year of growth.
What You’ll Learn in the 4 Live Sessions
Nature’s Blueprint
- What Syntropic agroforestry actually is and the 5 core principles, so you can stop piecing together conflicting advice and speak the same language as other practitioners
- Develop a ‘Syntropic Eye’
Plant Selection
- Understand how water, nutrients, and microclimate move through your land, so you can place plants where they’ll actually thrive instead of struggle
- Plant Observation Activity
Planting Your Consortia
- Discover how to prepare your site and choose plant spacing, so you can get plants in the ground without creating an unmanageable jungle or a weak, sparse system
- Getting plants in the ground — what to actually do first
Management: The Human Element
- Pull your observations and homework into a simple starting plan, so you leave with clarity on your next steps, not just more theory
- Construct your own management plan
- Clear next steps after the workshop
Each session includes simple, practical homework you do on your own land between sessions.
Next cohort: August 2026 — join the waitlist to be notified when registration opens. Two session times will be offered to suit different time zones.
Is This Workshop Right for You?
This Is For You If…
- You own or actively manage land (backyard, small acreage, or a few acres that aren’t producing like they should)
- You plan to start or expand a syntropic system in the next 12 months
- You want a clear, simple starting point for your first consortia and early management
- You’re willing to observe, take notes, and do simple homework on your own land between sessions
This Is Not Really For You If…
- You don’t have access to land yet
- You don’t expect to plant or invest in a system in the next 12 months
- You only want more theory with no action on your land
- You’re unlikely to show up live or watch the replays
Participant Story: Making Sense of a Syntropic Food Forest
How Suzanne in Oaxaca went from scattered videos to a cohesive plan on the ground
“Before this workshop I’d pieced together syntropic ideas from random videos, but never had a cohesive overview. Over the course of Rohan’s presentations, so many understandings slid into place that it was quite amazing.
It’s been about a year since I planted out my small food forest in Oaxaca. We’ve had leafcutter ants, compacted soil, harsh exposure – all the usual problems. Since applying what I learned, I’m seeing a marked difference in soil quality, tons of birds and insects, earthworms everywhere, and the ants have largely backed off.
Now, when I walk the lines, I can actually ‘listen’ to the system, understand what I’m seeing, and decide what needs doing – or not doing – next.”
– Suzanne, Oaxaca, Mexico
This is what the Consortia Building Workshop is designed to do: turn scattered syntropic ideas into a clear, practical foundation you can apply on your own land.
Meet Your Instructor
Rohan Sommers has spent 8+ years studying, implementing, and teaching Syntropic agroforestry. With 30+ system designs across multiple climates and literally tons of produce grown, he brings deep practical experience — not just theory.
His approach is grounded, direct, and built for people who want to stop overthinking and start planting.
“My mission is to help small land-owners stop researching and start building real, functioning Syntropic food systems on their own property.”
Why this is free (and still high value)
I believe this broader‑spectrum information should be freely accessible, so this workshop will remain free for as long as I continue to offer it. Past participants have said it gave them more value than paid courses they’ve taken, and that I “should be charging for it.”
If, after going through the workshop, you’d like closer support implementing what you’ve learnt over the next 12 months, there is an optional project‑based mentorship available. There’s no obligation to join – it’s simply there if you want help turning your plan into a functioning system on your land.
“Honestly, I feel he should be charging for this course, as I received far more out of it than I have from other courses I have paid for.”
“In just 4 sessions I not only consolidated my understanding of syntropics, I came away with a concrete plan to start my own system.”
“This workshop turned a jumble of syntropic videos into a clear, cohesive overview. Now my food forest in Oaxaca finally makes sense – the soil is improving, wildlife is exploding, and I actually know what to do next.”
